Zoning Coming to Paradise Valley? Many people moved to Paradise Valley to be away from the crushing hand of big government they experienced on the east or west coasts. In the blue states government knows best and is more than happy to take your money and tell you how to live. Unfortunately Paradise Valley is following the same path and becoming a nanny county.
The overreach of local government started with a Growth Policy in 2017, moved on to ban billboards, limit industry and kill good paying, year round jobs for locals. Now they want to implement zoning.
Every two years our property taxes increase to finance the ever growing local government. Meanwhile roads continue to deteriorate and snow removal is less than ideal. Traffic keeps increasing and the road infrastructure is not keeping up with population growth.
The Livingston Enterprise reports: "What has for years been an idea is now officially on paper.
Park County’s two-person planning staff has authored a draft document that sets out proposed zoning regulations for Park County — excluding Clyde Park and the city of Livingston".
