First Snow of 2020/2021 Falls in High South
Dawn revealed a thin white covering of snow on the trees and grass in High South Glastonbury. At 6,350 feet elevation winter comes quickly and often lasts longer than in the valley below. By 10 AM the snow melted at my place but remained on my neighbor's roof at 6,500 feet. Snow that stays on the ground usually comes in late November or early December. The ground is frozen by then and whatever falls, remains until late April or early May.
The weather is supposed to warm and daytime highs should be in the 70's by Tuesday.
