Long Term GLA Attorney "too busy" A few days ago attorney Seth Cunningham of the Brown Law firm was asked to write a routine Cease and Desist letter for the GLA Project Review Committee. Normally such a letter can be quickly composed by a paralegal. Cunningham replied that he "was too busy" and suggested that the GLA find another attorney to write the letter. Cunningham has faithfully served the GLA since 2010 or so and this is the first time he has refused a routine GLA request for services.
The GLA board voted to send the Cease and Desist letter to a landowner who was building a structure without proper review and approval as required by the Covenants. It is unclear what the GLA board will do now that Attorney Seth Cunningham is too busy to serve them. Although the board has enlisted the services of multiple attorneys for various lawsuits and debt collecting, none have been hired for general counsel on landowner association specific matters.

This is a perfect example of why the GLA should be dissolved. In fact, it should be helpful in the lawsuit designed to do just that.

Agreed! It's time to start with a fresh slate. GLA BOD should be dissolved immediately. We are tired of paying for endless lawsuits. Willing to pay for roads, but until matters are resolved- we do not trust the BOD with our money.
