Was the 20 Vote GLA Edict Rescinded?
The Forum has heard but cannot confirm that the Glastonbury Landowner's Association(GLA) board voted to rescind their 20 Vote Edict. The 20 Vote Edict was approved by the GLA board on September 14. Their action threw the 2023 Annual Election into chaos. Landowners voted to fill 9 open director seats in Glastonbury. The GLA Board canceled the votes gathered by 12 director candidates; only those who received more than 20 votes were allowed to claim a director's seat. Current Election certification results still do not recognize candidates receiving less than 20 votes as winning a seat. Until the results are re-certified the election remains in legal limbo.
Director-Elect Tim Brockett sent an email to the GLA Board and shared it with us. Brockett wrote:

To All:
I would like to confirm that the 20 Vote Minimum Edict approved by the GLA Board on September 14, 2023, was rescinded. Did the GLA vote to rescind the 20 Vote Minimum? When? What was the motion and may I please have a copy of the voter roll call?
I am still waiting for a copy of the original motion and roll call vote from September 14.
State Law requires that all motions and the resulting vote be made available to all landowners.
I would also like to see a copy of the re-certified 2023 Annual Election results. Until those are changed my 31% election victory is not officially recognized by the GLA Board. And the GLA Board remains responsible for manipulating election results and violating Montana State Law.
Will the board be censuring Director Sedlak for falsely presenting a motion to manipulate election results as a legitimate "Procedure"? Will the board take responsibility for their legal transgression and nullification of legitimate landowner votes by apologizing to all landowners? When will all candidates be informed of their election status? When will landowners finally know who won and who will be representing them on the 2024 GLA Board?
Sincerely,
Director-Elect Tim Brockett
