Gerald Dubiel for North Glastonbury Director I have been grateful for the opportunity to represent you landowners of Glastonbury for the last 8 years and I would like to continue. As a board member I have always voted on issues in favor of the majority of landowners and the governing documents.
My background is in land surveying and engineering. For 18 years I worked for the Connecticut Dept. of Transportation as a surveyor and highway inspector for new highway construction. The last 27 years I have not only lived in Glastonbury, but owned a survey business in Montana, working throughout the state.
Presently, I co-chair the Project Review Committee and, with my land surveying knowledge, I am able to review new building projects effectively without any cost to the landowners. I am also a member of the Road and Weed Committee and able to use my experience in road building to make decisions based on fact. As for weed-spraying, I have helped coordinate the most effective, possibly the most non-invasive, and inexpensive means.
I realize that all landowners, as well as myself, are concerned about rising costs for services such as road grading, crack sealing, chip sealing, snowplowing, and weed-spraying. If elected, I will continue to research and evaluate the best contractors for the least amount of our money.
