Donna Lash Andersen for North Glastonbury Director
Deep in our souls, I believe we all know that GLA needs a more diverse board. I am asking for your vote in the coming board election because I can bring diversity to the board, plus I have time and a desire to serve our association.
If elected, my top priority would be to open all GLA records to all members. Board business is not confidential or something kept from members. I believe the powers of the board and the powers of the members should be more clearly defined in our governing documents and that board discretion should end. I would end the ban on photography at GLA meetings. I support the highest interest rate allowed by Montana law provided it is not retroactive. I see a need for term limits for board members. I would also work diligently with those who have past due assessments and for smoother gravel roads.
In the past, I spent 10-plus years as a board member, president and executive director for a 2000 member property owner group in Wisconsin. I have experience as a real estate broker, a business owner/manager and a newspaper reporter who wrote about land use planning and local government issues. I have strong people skills; I am a good listener; I think outside the box; and I am open to new ideas, new ways of working together, and your phone calls. My number is 224-1690.
And FYI, I am a passionate gardener, a part-time receptionist at Chico Day Spa and a personal writing coach. I love to teach writing classes and work with those who want to write their memoirs. In closing I again ask for your vote and the opportunity to serve you. Thank you.
