Road Policy Advisory Group Meeting on Thursday, April 20th, 2017
7pm – 9pm at SpecTec, 9 Polaris Way in South Glastonbury
Agenda
1) Review GLA Covenants as basis for a new road policy
2) Review current road composition and condition
3) Begin work on new GLA Road Policy
Our meeting agenda will continue along the handout from our last meeting and finish distilling the essence of Sections 8 & 11 of the GLA Covenants, which will lead us in affirming/clarifying the fundamentals and defining the specifics. It is our goal to arrive at bullet points around which a landowner consensus derived Road Policy can be penned.
FUNDAMENTALS:
All landowners receive service per Sections 8 & 11 of the GLA Covenants.
The association cannot spend more than what it collects in assessment.
First priority is to provide safe roads, commensurate with funding availability
SPECIFICS:
A1. Repairing damaged roads, potholes, protruding rocks, landslides etc.
A2. Removal of snow and sanding for safe driving.
B3. Grading to eliminate washboard and blend in minor potholes.
B4. Add gravel to road base.
C5. Consider options for improving gravel roads
D6. Paved Road Plan
PRIORITIES and ALLOCATION:
Priorities are executed principally from A-D] per above. All are dependent on available funds.
