Road Traffic Analysis for North and South Glastonbury
The Glastonbury Road Advisory Group under the leadership of Claudette Dirkers and Walter Wunsch recently created two Dwelling Density reports and associated Traffic Analysis for North and South Glastonbury. The group complied a list of dwellings and their physical addresses. Then they plotted the dwellings on maps of Glastonbury roads. Next they counted how many dwellings were above each junction of every road. From that information they were able to calculate how many vehicles passed that intersection on an average day.
For the first time ever, Glastonbury now has a good idea of how much traffic each segment of our multiple road networks bears on a daily and yearly basis. You may read the details by downloading the reports below.
