Dennis Riley for South Glastonbury Director
I am a current member of the GLA board of directors, past vice president and current president.
I have many years of senior level management experience in large companies (Oracle Corp., SyBase, Hitachi Data, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Puget Sound Energy). I have managed budgets in excess of $100,000,000.
As a board member I want to promote open, honest and fair dealings with all Glastonbury landowners.

I urge every SG landowner to vote for Dennis so that he can serve another term on the board. His mature leadership and his calm thoughtful and analytical approach to even the most trying situation is needed.
As Chair of the Road Committee, Dennis has done more that any other President to get long-delayed road maintenance projects like finding and clearing culverts, creating ditches, adding snow fence, and installing traffic signs, organized and underway.
As Chair of the Legal Committee, Dennis has diligently dug into some of our "messy" and long-ignored legal problems. For example, the GLA title to the soccer field parcel has a reversionary clause that needs to be removed, the GLA agreement to maintain the subdivision roads for Golden Age Village violates our own governing documents, and another GLA contract for the soccer field violates the perpetuity clause in the Montana Constitution.
Dennis gives generously of his time and resources, he listens well, and responds to phone calls and emails in a timely manner. We need Dennis on the board. Please vote for him.

What can I say about Dennis Riley? Respect! Since Dennis has been president a level of respect has been shown to attendee landowners. A genuine respect and not just “tolerated” as has been shown in the past presidents.
Dennis truly wants to hear what the landowners have to say and I have never heard him refer to members of this Corporation in derogatory terms. His calm professionalism can be seen throughout the audience. Finally a leader who makes the meetings flow in such a way that reasoned discussions between Boardmembers and interactions between Boardmembers and landowners can be respectfully interactive.
In the past Boardmembers tolerated landowners input without truly addressing their issues. That is why I became involved. Forty plus years as a businesswoman and a sitting boardmember on two different boards, I was frustrated by the way this Association was being governed. The financial situation was a mess with no accountability. With leadership from Dennis, along with Kevin and Mark this Association is “finally” becoming professional and the way boards are supposed to be run...but there is a lot yet to be done to bring it to “best business practices.”
Dennis’ calm demeanour has only been rattled a few times and from a continued source that upsets everyone. His steady hand is very much needed. His ability to defuse situations continues to amaze me because of the recent rancour between landowners and Boardmembers.
Dennis and his wife Wendy offered up their home for meetings and bring a lot to GLA. Please return this professional, and very nice man back as Boardmember to continue his exceptional work. He is needed!!

Hello All who may read this. Please consider your vote for Dennis. I know him as a person as well as observing him conducting Gla. meetings and business. He is honest and thoughtful, respectful and patient in his dealings. He does not talk much about himself, as you can see by his modest bio. Dennis is committed to following protocols as our governing documents, with consistent, fair application to all. Dennis has a sense of humor he brings which can defuse tension. Lets keep a good man on the job.
