Mark Seaver for South Glastonbury Director I am mostly retired after 30 years of working for the US Navy as a research physicist, continuing to consult for the Navy at roughly 6 hours a week.
I have good computer skills, which I am currently using to change the GLA's website. I have managed groups of over 20 scientists with budgets up to $10 million dollars. I believe in careful analysis and thorough research into problems prior to making a decision. As a board member over the last two years, I think that I've helped move the board towards acting professionally, making informed decisions and working to improve our community. I am running again because I believe that there is more for improvements in the board's performance, especially in communications and in the development of long-term road maintenance and improvement plans.

I find Mark Seaver to be an critical and analytical thinker. His decisions I’ve seen seemed to be reasoned and measured which is a pleasant change from either emotional or illogical decisions made.
I have found him to be a good listener even if he disagrees with the position that is being presented, and does so without being condescending. He also shows that he can be persuaded with reasoned discussions and more facts to back that position. His willingness to change his position by investigating and further research and not just acquiescence to the majority “group think” is a refreshing change that has been pervasive in the past. Some Board members just sit there and take their cue from the others, not Mark as far as I have witnessed.
His measured responses shows the ability to keep emotion out of the equation. His experience and professionalism brings this Association to a professional level that is sorely needed. Along with Kevin and Dennis, he has brought this Corporation to a higher standard that is required by Corporate law and adherence to our covenants. He does not bring any agenda or allegiance to others, just GLA and the landowners best interests.
I can not vote for Mark, Kevin or Dennis but I hope SG landowners will send these experienced hard working professionals back to represent all of us and not just a segment of our Association. Sally Muto NG27
