Our Community is Disintegrating,
The Election is seen as a fraud
The Election is seen as a fraud
To All Election Committee Members and the GLA Board:
I have been hearing from many landowners regarding the moving of the Annual meeting. They are confused and angry. Several have commented that they think the Election is rigged to get CUT affiliated landowners in at any cost. As evidence they point to the Rakela fiasco. Several landowners see Election Committee Chairman Charlene Murphy at the center of the storm. They pointed out that she was the one who insisted that a new ballot be issued to all South Glastonbury landowners so no VOTES would be lost for CUT affiliate Kathleen Rakela.
They also are deeply suspicious of why the Candidate's Forum idea was opposed by the Chairman Murphy when ALL Election Committee members voted for it. Many other landowners reminded me of the 2016 election shenanigans and how Kathleen Rakela played a part in that and how Board Secretary Charlene Murphy validated a "rigged" election. A similar scenario is being played out in 2017 and many expect Board Secretary Charlene Murphy to validate another fraudulent election.
It also appears that Charlene Murphy and other shadow Board members are working with Val and Dan O'Connell to further divide our community and inflame CUT affiliated landowners. Again landowners I have talked with point to the suspicious emails sent to many community members and then publicly disavowed by Board Secretary Charlene Murphy. There is ample evidence of shadow Board members using the O'Connells to divert attention and even shut down member meetings in the past. For any Board member to communicate with the O'Connells is a violation of the Restraining Order and a misdemeanor. Directors who violate Montana laws should immediately resign.
The December 2nd Election promises to tear apart what little is left of the original Glastonbury. The mistrust on both sides is deep and visceral. I can feel the hatred building and already we have heard and read death threats from the two most outspoken members of Glastonbury. If CUT wins on December 2nd at the very least lawsuits will fly and the GLA's days will be numbered. Violence is a distinct possibility and seems increasingly likely. Perhaps that is only fitting for a community that was conceived on totalitarian principles that totally disrespected liberty, individual freedom and Constitutional rights.
I think we can do better. To start with Chairman Charlene Murphy should resign or be removed from the Election Committee. She does not represent all landowners and certainly does not represent even a majority of members on the Election Committee. Her performance is poor and her record dismal.
Once Charlene Murphy and other CUT affiliated cronies left the Road Committee our roads started to improve and progress was visible to all landowners. Meetings were productive, problems were addressed and real work was accomplished. Landowners benefited and our roads improved. I suggest that the same will happen for the Election Committee. We can do better, much better.
As a member of the Election Committee I make a motion:
"That the Election Committee ask the GLA Board to remove Charlene Murphy as co-chair of the Election Committee"
Do I hear a second?
