Ed Dobrowski - For South Glastonbury Director
Administrator's Note: Candidate Ed Dobrowski, son of candidate Clare Parker is currently suing the GLA Board along with candidate Kathleen Rakela. GLA legal costs to April 30th, 2018 for the Rakela lawsuit are $13,630.49.
I’ve lived in Glastonbury since 2009, own a construction company and have helped many landowners with their projects. When I was co-chairman of the Road Committee, I organized a road maintenance program for Glastonbury and improved roads that had been under maintained. I also served on the Project Review Committee and stood opposed to project review overreach.
GLFPC members, along with similarly oriented landowners, attend every GLA meeting and reinterpret the covenants, creating the need for the board to consult attorneys. Funds that could be spent on roads are being used to pay attorneys. For example, the GLA recently spent thousands of dollars of your money to block landowners from voting by not allowing them to pay their assessments at the annual meeting or vote if not paid-up by a certain date. This goes against 20 years of landowners being able to pay at the door and vote.

The Project Review Committee is creating red-tape and confusion, and private property rights are being assaulted. Several disturbing incidences have occurred.
I am opposed to the agenda of Leo Keeler and Dan Kehoe to add subdivision roads to the GLA road system, making maintenance much more expensive. The board has stated that assessments will be raised if the GLA adds subdivision roads. Of great concern are the other proposed Road Policy changes and the Board’s not following the existing Road Policy, as advised by the GLA attorney.
I ask for your vote, and if I am elected I pledge to look after landowners’ interests and to give my all to improving the roads and expediting project reviews.
