Votes for Sale! Price is a hot dog or hamburg! Only in Glastonbury would anyone think that providing landowners with a hot dog or hamburg fresh off the grill would be akin to "buying votes". Director Kevin Newby offered to bring a grill and cook hot dogs and hamburgs at the annual election in June for any landowner who wished one. Being a kind and gracious person he even offered to donate the hamburgs and hot dogs. But it was not to be.
At the last GLA Board Meeting Director Charlotte Mizzi suggested that offering landowners such a tasty treat could be construed as "buying votes". Mizzi who hails from Jersey City may have had personal experience in such matters and her words were carefully considered. Newby then suggested that the Board could purchase the meat and he would simply be the grill master.
In the end the GLA Board decided that hot dogs and hamburgs had to go. Coffee, tea and macrobiotic foods will still be offered. Can a cup of coffee buy a vote? We will see....

Yes, only in Glastonbury (soon to be renamed Mizziville?) and other communities where Kool-Aide is the beverage of choice.
