Appliance Repair: Holt's repair 823-9262
I contacted Holt on July 6, 2016 to help with our oven that was no longer heating up. He came out same day, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the part from Billings. The part arrived, was installed and oven fixed the very next day! One reason he was able to provide such great service is that he is a neighbor of ours in Glastonbury and close by. Holt's current rate is $60/hour.
For comparison: the charges of a Livingston appliance repair shop I checked were $75 service call with a $1.50 charge per mile from Livingston. The Livingston service charge includes .5 hour diagnosis; beyond that an additional $1 per minute is charged. I believe the mileage and per minute charges would have applied to a 2nd visit, as well, to install any ordered part.
Holt provided great service with a reasonable charge and I would recommend him to anyone in need of appliance repair.
Thanks, Debbie B.

Wow! Propane at 95 cents a gallon...delivered to my door I just ordered propane from Oie Motors in Big Timber. Every year I fill up two 1,000 gallon tanks in August. That is enough to last through the coldest winters. Last year I paid 99 cents a gallon and that was excellent! This year I broke into a happy dance for the price was just 95 cents a gallon!
The 95 cents a gallon price may only be good until the end of August. It does require payment within 5 days of delivery. Oie takes major charge cards so that can give you extra time to pay the bill and still save $.
Oie Motor Company is in Big Timber. Call them at (406)932-5323 or toll free at (877) 684-5671. Let them know you saw them on the Forum.
Feel free to share this link with friends and neighbors.

Quality Haircuts for $7.00!! The Academy of Cosmetology in Bozeman offers haircuts for just $7.00. Why so inexpensive? Their students do the cutting and are supervised by their teachers. I went there by chance and was pleasantly surprised. Christin cut my hair and did and excellent job. She graduates in December of 2017. A friend of mine went also and he was pleased. Their number is (406)587-1264. Call for an appointment. They are located at 133 West Mendenhall just across the street from Sack's Thrift store. Their website is www.academycosmetology.comIf you like looking for buried treasure stop by Sack's Thrift storeafter your haircut. They have a good selection of used stuff at bargain prices. I found a GPS unit once and a great camping tent another time. My best find was a $100.00 brand new wool Pendleton shirt for $5.00.

Used and New Rebuilt Computers and Hardware at GREAT prices Front Source Technologies will custom build a computer for you from new and used parts. I purchased a Windows 7 Dell Inspiron from them in 2018 and it was just $129.99 including shipping. All parts were used except the hard drive and operating system, which I requested as new. It works fine and I should get 5 years at least from it. If you order one with a new Windows 10 operating system the cost is higher but still a bargain. The price also includes one year of tech support.
Visit their website at: www.frontsourcetech.com/

Cable TV for $3.49 a month - 80+ Channels It is now possible to receive over 80 cable TV channels via the internet in Paradise Valley. This includes popular channels like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, HBO, Cinemax, National Geographic, AMC, BBC and many more. You can also watch streaming channels like Tubi and Pluto for FREE and VPN is not required.
Here is what you need to watch cable TV for $3.49 a month.
- You will need a computer connected to the internet. Windows 10 works best for an operating system. If you have Windows 7 or 8 you can upgrade for free here.
- You will need a VPN (Virtual Private Network) service. The best service we found was at Nord VPN and is currently on sale at $3.49 a month if you purchase the two or three year plan.
- Once you sign up for VPN you will have a private, very secure connection to the internet that also hides your geographical location. Now you can access web sites from overseas that were previously blocked.
- One of those sites now available to you is USTv247.tv in the island country of Tuvalu in the South Pacific.
- Activate your VPN, go to USTv247.tv, turn off your ad blocker, click on a channel and start watching.
- USTVGo.tv is another free cable TV site and they offer 80+ channels. VPN is required for access.
- If you can connect your computer to your big screen TV via an HDMII cord, then you can watch internet cable TV on the big screen! Ditch the Direct TV or Dish network satellite service and save a lot of money.
- Are you a NetFlix subscriber? Because VPN hides your geographic location you will now have access to a much larger selection of Netflix offerings. Without VPN you are limited to the US Netflix library.
- Tubi is a good resource for free movies over the internet. They have a reasonable selection of TV shows and movies. All are free but you will see commercials every so often. I generally see about 6 commercials for a 90 minute movie. VPN is not required.
- Pluto TV is also available over the internet and offers a wide selection of TV shows and movies. Pluto has a lot of vintage TV shows like Dragnet, The Twilight Zone and others because it is owned by Viacom\CBS. It is free but comes with commercials, sometimes lots of commercials. Montana PBS (Public Broadcasting System) also offers free streaming shows and movies. Most are free. Again, VPN is not required.

Mountain Meadow Heavy Transport in Livingston Call (406) 223-0686 We needed several tons of construction materials transported from Pray to upper High South Glastonbury. Mountain Meadows bid on the job and offered to transport and unload the materials for $350.00 a load. They provided their own Skid Steer for unloading.
The night before the haul two inches of snow fell. Nonetheless, Mountain Meadows was on the job by 8 am the next day. By 9:30 they delivered the first load via a semi cab and long flatbed trailer. A few hours later they delivered the second load. Mountain Meadows used their skid steer to carefully place the materials near the construction site. Although the ground was wet, muddy, and slippery they safely unloaded and stored many tons of materials.
When the bill arrived it was under budget too. A pleasant surprise at just $650.00 for transporting two loads, unloading, and carefully placing the materials. A wonderful company to do business with.
