CUT Gets FREE Road Work - GLA Violates Covenants Again... President Dennis Riley Ignores GLA Law...again and again Spring road work commenced in North Glastonbury at the end of May. The first road to be graded, graveled and ditched was Aries Drive; a privately owned road that the Glastonbury Landowners Association (GLA) is not authorized to maintain. The road is fully owned by Church Universal and Triumphant (CUT) and the GLA does not even have a legal easement to use it. The Covenants which everyone agrees to be bound to when they purchase land in Glastonbury, specifically state that only PLATTED roads fall under the jurisdiction of the GLA. Aries Drive and several other roads in North Glastonbury are not platted and thus do not qualify for maintenance. This year, like all years past, CUT private roads were the first to be worked on and received the most maintenance. All of the work was paid for with Glastonbury landowner assessment funds. CUT once again received free maintenance courtesy of a corrupt GLA.
Aries Drive - nicely graded and ditched for CUT for FREE In 2017 GLA President Dennis Riley secretly altered the 2017 North Glastonbury road contract after the Road Committee voted to approve work ONLY on platted roads. The illegal alterations by Riley allowed for work on CUT private roads.
In 2018 work on CUT private roads was again paid for by all Glastonbury landowners as the Forum reported here. President Riley again allowed the corrupt practice to continue in 2019. But for decades the GLA has turned a blind eye to Covenant violators. Many landowners have gotten away with not paying tens of thousands of dollars in assessments. Others were given sweetheart deals so they did not have to pay past due balances. Many properties were developed with little to no GLA oversight. Several properties blatantly violate the Covenants and no landowner has yet been held accountable. Corruption and disregard for the law seem to be general operating principles for President Dennis Riley and most GLA directors.

The GLA has proven itself to be a feckless organization, created by CUT as a tool to fleece landowners, a majestic scheme to defraud, to swindle, going on for two decades or more. Wake up, people!

CUT Privately Owned Roads Receive More Maintenance... On Wednesday June 12, 2019 the gravel portion of Sirius Drive was freshly graded. The road was carefully angled, ditches were cleaned and the surface was graded and rolled. Sirius Drive is one of the best maintained gravel roads in North Glastonbury and sits fully within Church Universal and Triumphant (CUT) private property.
Sirius Drive is a private road and mainly serves to connect CUT property to the Glastonbury platted road network. The Glastonbury Landowner's Association (GLA) is responsible for platted road maintenance but is not required to service private roads like Sirius Drive and Aries Drive.
The defunct Thomas Moore school, Liberty Hall, a greenhouse, the chapel and Golden Age Village all reside on Sirius Drive and all are on property fully owned by CUT. CUT pays one land assessment fee and 49 dwelling fees for the 49 trailers/houses that make up Golden Age Village(GAV). CUT does not pay a penny of assessments for Liberty Hall, the greenhouse, the chapel or the defunct school. That property does not even sit within the boundaries of Glastonbury and CUT is free to do whatever they want with it. GAV is part of Glastonbury and is a for profit operation that is fully owned by CUT. Sirius Drive is a private road just like Helios, Vesta, Bluebird, Hilarion and other sub-division roads.
In 2017 Sirius Drive was given more gravel than any other road in North Glastonbury. A long expired contract was produced by CUT to justify spending GLA assessment money on CUT private roads. Both GLA President Dennis Riley and Director Leo Keeler agreed that the contract was valid. A later and closer reading of Montana State law determined that contracts may not continue into perpetuity and are generally only good for 5 years. The CUT contract was from 1998.
A common misconception is that Golden Age Village is named as such because most of the residents are over 65 years old. The name derives from the New Age belief that Glastonbury will lead the world into the Golden Age of Aquarius. It looks like all landowners will be once again paying for CUT private road maintenance. Since GLA assessment money is limited, maintenance on platted roads suffers while CUT private roads are lavished upon. Maybe when we all get to that Golden Age it will be worth the expense.
