New Fire West of Cody, Wyoming KBZK reports:
"Cody, Wyo. - The wildfire dubbed the "Fishhawk Fire" that ignited Monday night burned 2,000 acres in the Shoshone National Forest about 41 miles west of Cody.
According to a U.S. Forest Service release, the fire is located six miles south of U.S. Highway 14/16/20.
Officials have closed Fishhawk Trail, Kitty Creek trail and Blackwater Trail due to their proximity to the fire and to allow easier access for firefighters.
An engine from the Shoshone National Forest and resources from Park County Fire responded."

Fishhawk Fire near Cody, Wyoming Explodes to more than 10,000 acres The Fish Hawk fire went from 2,00 to 10,000 acres almost overnight. Rain today and early next week is expected to help contain the blaze. Read more here. Near Butte KBZK reports "The McClusky fire northwest of Whitehall and east of Butte is starting to spread. As of this morning it is nearly 3,000 acres, triple the size it was less than 48 hours ago. The Butte Ranger District says that due to dry and windy weather, groups of trees are bursting into flame at once, the fire is spotting, or casting fiery embers a quarter mile ahead of the flames, and it is pushing around the edges of the fire to engulf new areas. As of Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, the fire was estimated to be at 2,887 acres." Read the full story here.
