* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 14 inches possible. Highest accumulations near the mountains.
* WHERE...Portions of Central and South Central Montana.
* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Thursday morning. Rain will transition quickly to snow Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel and outdoor activities could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact multiple travel commutes. Tree and power line damage is possible and may result in power outages.

Winter Storm Warning In Effect ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON MDT THURSDAY...Snow will be falling on October 8th and 9th, 2019.
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches, with localized heavier amounts. Highest accumulations near the mountains.
* WHERE...Portions of Central and South Central Montana.
* WHEN...From this evening through Thursday morning. Rain will transition quickly to snow this evening, with snow becoming heavy at times overnight.
* IMPACTS...Travel and outdoor activities will be very difficult. Rural travel may be impossible in some locations. Tree and power line damage is likely and may result in power outages. Those with hunting or recreation interests should prepare accordingly.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
