Early Morning House Fire in North Glastonbury Around 9 AM on October 24, 2019 smoke was seen billowing from North Glastonbury. A mobile home on Taurus Road was fully engulfed in flames and the Fire Department was present. A telephoto lens shot below captures a subsequent explosion, fire and smoke.
Two people and two dogs were reportedly in the mobile home when it caught fire. All are said to have gotten out safely. The home was completely destroyed and is awaiting demolition. The bottom photo was taken after the fire was subdued and extinguished. The cause of the fire is not known at this point. However chimney fires are common when the weather turns cold in fall. At 1 PM smoke and an acrid smell still hang heavy over North Glastonbury.
