More Montana Corona Virus News... KBZK reports "Big Sky Resort has announced that it will suspend operations after skiing on Sunday, March 15.
"As always, our top priority has been the health and wellbeing of our guests, team members, and community, and this is undoubtedly the right decision given the COVID-19 in Montana: new cases, two public leaders in isolationsituation," a statement from Big Sky said.
All retail and rental shops, as well as aSolace Spa will also close. Food outlets will remain open based on situational needs and a commitment to social distancing. Lodging properties will remain open while guests in house make alternate travel arrangements".

COVID-19 in Montana: new cases, two public leaders in isolation KBZK reports:
"The situation around the novel coronavirus escalated Saturday as the state reported two new cases and that two top state leaders were in isolation.
The two new presumptive positive cases are both from Missoula county. According to Governor Steve Bullock's Office, the Missoula County patients were a woman in her 30's and a male in his 50's.
Saturday test results bring the total number of cases in the state of Montana to six.
One of the patients identified Saturday night was Montana Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian".

Bullock directs two-week closure of public K-12 schools in Montana News for Monday March 16, 2020 KBZK reports:
"Governor Steve Bullock on Sunday announced a set of directives and guidance to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and protect vulnerable Montanans, including closing of public K-12 schools, social distancing measures, and limiting visitation at nursing home facilities.
Bullock has directed Montana’s public K-12 schools to close starting on Monday, March 16, and remain closed through March 27. During this time, schools will plan to provide arrangements to provide free meals to students who need them, pursuant to a waiver obtained from the United States Department of Agriculture, and to provide for all other matters and services that students need in the event of future or ongoing closure. Schools will continue to receive all state funding during this two-week closure".

Red Lodge Mountain will suspend operations for seven days starting at the end of the ski day Sunday and will decide later whether to reopen again, Red Lodge management said Sunday.
“We made the difficult decision today, after working with state and local health officials to suspend operations at the end of today (Sunday) through March 22 to be able to evaluate the situation in the state of Montana and what we should be doing going forward," mountain assistant general manager Spencer Weimar told Q2 over the phone.
The season was scheduled to run to April 12".
