Order Closure for Bars and Restaurants in Gallatin County
KBZK reports:
"An order issued Monday by Gallatin City-County Health Officer Matt Kelley imposes restrictions on bars, brew pubs, wineries, casinos, and restaurants in order to help reduce spread of covid19 and slow down the current pandemic.
The order does the following:
Orders the closure of all bars, brew pubs, wineries, distilleries with public tasting rooms, and casinos in Gallatin County effective Monday, March 16 at 9 p.m. through March 24.
Orders restaurants to close dining room services during the same time period but allows take-out and delivery service to operate; Allows limited exceptions for food service establishments that are the primary meal sources for a population that depends on it as one of its sole or primary sources of food, such a university-based dining facilities or cafeterias in hospital and care facilities; The restrictions to not apply to grocery stores, deli counters within grocery stores, or convenience stores".

Bozeman closes library, swim center, park centers, programs and more

"Starting Tuesday, the Bozeman Library will be closed in efforts to slow Coronavirus.
In a press release, the City of Bozeman said in addition to the library being shuttered, the Parks and Recreation departments will be closing all facilities and canceling all programs until further notice. All non-essential public meetings will also be canceled until further notice".

Bullock says `social distancing’ vital; officials say guidelines still evolving

"Gov. Steve Bullock talks to reporters at the Capitol Monday about steps to slow the spread of coronavirus infections.
Gov. Steve Bullock said Monday he realizes that steps to limit the spread of coronavirus are creating hardships for families and businesses across the state, but that they’re vital to keep new cases to a minimum.
“I can’t underscore (enough) the seriousness of following these measures to help our neighbors, friends and families, because their safety really is in all of our hands,” he told reporters at the Capitol.
Bullock and state health officials also said that guidance may change, as the outbreak evolves – and that they couldn’t say for sure how long schools may be closed or public gatherings limited.
“A lot of this is going to come from the national level,” said state medical officer Greg Holzman. “If you’ve noticed, everything from the Centers for Disease Control are interim guidelines, meaning we’re updating them as we go along.”

Canada bars entry to all travelers who are not citizens or permanent residents

"Canada is barring entry to all travelers who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Monday — one of a set of extraordinary new measures being introduced to stop the spread of COVID-19, according to the CBC .
There will be exceptions for air crew, diplomats, immediate family members of citizens and, "at this time," U.S. citizens, Trudeau said.
The prime minister also said no one who is displaying symptoms will be permitted to board a flight to Canada, and that air operators will be required to complete a basic health assessment of every passenger based on guidelines from the Public Health Agency of Canada".
