High South Road Report for December 26th, 2015 2:30 PM
* At High South the temperature is currently 30 degrees. The snow showers of yesterday and last night dropped 3 inches of fluffy, powder snow. The snow has ended and blue sky predominates. * The South Glastonbury roads were snow packed and not plowed when I went to the Post Office this morning. Travel was fine if a bit slippery. Dry Creek was packed and not plowed or sanded. A little slippery but not bad. * When I came back from the Post Office I met Myron Moorman plowing upper Hercules. Myron is a volunteer and doing a wonderful job of keeping Upper Hercules wide, smooth and open. His hard work helps make our roads safer and travel more pleasant. A big thank-you to Myron! * I continue to urge the Road Committee to create a post on the Glastonbury Community Forum under the Road Committee category. Title it "Snow Plowing Updates for December 26th, 2015" and provide updated snow plowing information via frequent posts throughout the time Fred is plowing and sanding. Many landowners have mobile devices and carry them in their cars. Updated plowing and sanding information would provide a valuable community service and make travel safer for everyone. Readers are encouraged to submit snow reports, photos and road related news on the forum by posting them on the Forum at: GLA Road Committee Board
