Covid 19 Virus News for Friday April 3rd, 2020
Montana reaches 243 COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths The Bozeman Chronicle reports:
"Montana hit 243 known COVID-19 cases Friday, according to numbers from the state, with five deaths reported statewide and 24 hospitalizations.
The tally is up two from the night before, and the state lab reported processing an additional 150 tests between a 4:30 p.m. report Thursday and Friday’s update. The lab has been running a rough average of 400 tests a day.
Gov. Steve Bullock said Tuesday about 32 people had recovered from the illness, caused by the coronavirus. The state’s website tracking cases does not have a running tally of that figure so updated information was not available Friday morning.
Gallatin County still has by far the most cases in the state, at 93".

“What I am doing myself is I am keeping 25 feet from anyone,” said Jose Jimenez, a chemistry professor at CU Boulder.
Jimenez is one of 37 scientists that wrote a letter to the World Health Organization about the effectiveness of social distancing six feet. He says 10 or even 15 feet would be safer.
“When you talk, instead of just plain breathing, or when you sing and the air is coming out of your lungs more strongly, then more particles are generated so more viruses are going to end up in the air,” Jimenez said".

With branches in multiple U.S. states, Fortitude Ranch dubs itself a "survival community" and offers paying members access to remote, secure grounds and residences under the motto "Prepare for the worst, enjoy the present".
The ranch has seen a "huge surge" of interest in joining its survival retreats amid the pandemic, said chief executive Drew Miller, who estimated inquiries have increase tenfold".
