Two More GLA Directors Resign Two Glastonbury Landowner's Association (GLA) Directors have resigned. Jean Carp announced her resignation effective immediately. Jean Carp is the wife of John Carp who is the GLA Road Committee Chair. Jean was the GLA Treasurer for a few months. About 6 weeks ago she resigned from that position. A week or so ago she resigned from the GLA Board completely.
Director Ed Dobrowski also submitted his resignation but it is not effective until the end of the year. It is not clear if his replacement will be on the Annual Election ballet or will be appointed after his resignation is final. Dobrowski resigned from the GLA Board once before. He was also a party to a lawsuit against the GLA.
Eight Directors were already up for reelection due to recent Bylaw changes. Dobrowski's resignation could add a ninth candidate to the ballot. Questions have been raised about the path Director Mizzi should take as well. Her term does not end until 2021. Now the Term Limits is in effect some landowners are calling for her to resign because she has served over 5 years in a row on the GLA Board.

More GLA Directors Resign - Update Several GLA Directors resigned in 2020. Alicia Roskind was the first to resign; she did not even make it to the first 2020 GLA Board Meeting. John McAlister was eventually appointed to fill her South Glastonbury position.
Chris Desborough from North Glastonbury was the next to resign. He was replaced by Jean Carp. Both Chris Desborough and Jean Carp also resigned as GLA Treasurer. Carp's director position is still open and should be filled with the November Annual Election.
Ken Hurley resigned in July. He was the GLA Vice President. Hurley sold his property and moved to Missouri. He was replaced by Erica Stone from South Glastonbury. In August, John McAlister replaced Hurley as the GLA Vice President.
Ed Dobrowski recently resigned as well. His resignation is due to take effect at the end of the year. Dobrowski is the South Glastonbury Chair on the Road Committee. He has NOT resigned from that position.
Four directors or 1/3 of the GLA Board resigned in the first 8 months of 2020. The GLA Board also saw three Directors resign from the Treasurer's position in 2020.
The GLA Administrator received a promotion and a 12% raise in January. She then left for a "working vacation" in Arizona for a month. In July she left for a two month "working vacation" in Arizona. She is due back by the September 14th, GLA Board meeting. Her time cards, which contain a detailed description of the work she bills for, are kept secret despite repeated requests to view them from directors. Her office expense invoices, which have been reported at over $1,000.00 each, are also hidden from view.
