Reader's Round-table
I sell new and used books for a living. Thus I am constantly reminded how literate the people of our state are. Every week I see thousands of different titles. Many catch my attention and one or two get put on my coffee table to read. My favorite book is also my best selling title; The Bible with both old and new testaments. There was a time when The Bible was the only or most important book in a home. Even today many scholars do not consider a person educated unless they have read The Bible. Judaeo-Christian thought underlies western civilization and most questions can be answered by reading the Bible and following up with prayer. That said I come across many more tomes and some not so learned but are great fun to read. Here is a list of what I have read over the last two months. I gave each completed book a 1 to 5 star (*) rating with 5 being the best.
