GLA Votes to Release 2020 Financial Statements to Landowners
On March 16, 2021 Glastonbury Landowner's Association (GLA) Director Tim Brockett made a motion to send 2020 Year End Financials along with an explanatory letter from the Treasurer to all landowners. The motion was seconded by Claudette Dirkers. Jerry Ladewig, John McAlister, Director Accatino, Ed Dobrowski and Andrea Sedlak all voted YES. Director Mizzi presented a yes vote but conditioned on the incorrect statement "The financial report is based on {sic} unapproved budget. Upon submitting a final budget for approval, I vote yes.". The motion was for a 2020 report and that budget was approved by the GLA Board. Mizzi apparently thought that the 2021 budget needed to be approved before the 2020 year end report could be issued. After the motion expired Mizzi tried to vote again. Gerald Dubiel also voted late. Newman Brozovsky did not vote at all.
The motion passed. Then Director Brockett asked "When can these be mailed? Will the Secretary handle that responsibility?" He has not received a reply yet.
The GLA Treasurer produced several previous reports for landowners. They were dutifully handed to the Secretary for distribution to landowners. None was ever released. Brockett suggested that the reports would get to landowners more quickly if copies were sent to the Forum.

Brockett also asked that primary documents such as copies of invoices and bank statements be released to all directors so they may double check figures on behalf of landowners. That produced an immediate and angry response from Newman Brozovsky who said " How many times have you tried to get the bank statements now? Every time you have been informed that by law they are not available to you but you keep trying".
When asked by the Forum Brockett said that he will continue to fight for 100% financial transparency so landowners know how their money is being spent.
