GLA Board Passes 2021 Budget With No Landowner Input
The GLA Board passed a final 2021 budget that includes draconian cuts to road maintenance and in other areas. The vote was quickly held by email and no landowner input was solicited or allowed. On March 29 at 11:10 AM Treasurer John McAlister stated in an email to the GLA Board "I make a motion that the board approve the GLA Budget just provided. Upon second, I vote yes".
Jerry Ladewig quickly seconded the motion and voted yes. Director Mizzi, Accatino, Dubiel, Sedlak and Dirkers also voted yes. Director Brockett voted no stating "I vote NO for John's motion. His work is exemplary. But Financial matters should be discussed and debated in an open meeting so landowners may participate".
At 4:07 PM on March 30 Claudette Dirkers announced that the motion passed with 7 yes votes and one no vote.
Newman Brozovsky and Ed Dobrowski have not yet voted. The motion expires in 2 days.

Hopefully the Board will mail a copy of the Final Budget to all landowners. Two weeks ago they voted to send 2020 Year End Statements to landowners. So far only about 25% of landowners have received a copy via email. Apparently the 2020 Year End Financials were never mailed to other landowners.
