Snow Report from High South January 17, 2016 at 9 AM
Six inches of damp snow fell overnight. The current temperature is 30 degrees and the skies are clearing. The official Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service was cancelled early this morning at 8:30. The winds are expected to pick up this afternoon; blowing and drifting snow may be a problem. Once again we suggest to the GLA Board that when Fred plows that he or an assistant post updates on the Glastonbury Community Forum every hour or two. This will alert landowners as to the road conditions and snow plowing/sanding progress on the roads they live on.

Update for January 19th, 2016 High winds overnight has created some drifting along High South roads. The snow fencing is holding back many drifts but some are spreading across Hercules and Sagittarius Skyway. Corners and downhill sections of both roads are snow packed and slippery. A big thank-you to Jim Kelley and Myron Moorman. Both Jim and Myron are High South residents who routinely plow parts of Hercules and Sagittarius Skyway with their own vehicles when they are here. They do a wonderful job and all of us are grateful to have them as neighbors.
