GLA President Sedlak's Message To The Board
In a short and business like manner the new GLA Board President, Andrea Sedlak, sent an email to all directors. President Sedlak explained how motions made at the August 23rd board meeting removed Newman Brozovsky as president and Charlotte Mizzi as secretary. Subsequent motions approved Claudette Dirkers to replace Charlotte Mizzi and Andrea Sedlak to replace Newman Brozovsky. John McAlister remains as Vice President and Treasurer. Sedlak wrote:
The transition process is underway. It is not expected to run smoothly.
Dear Board,
This is to notify those of you who were not present about several important changes that occurred in Board composition and structure late in the Board meeting on Monday, August 23.
At 11:02 p.m., Ed Dobrowski left the meeting. At 11:04 p.m., he sent the following email to the Board:
"This is my formal resignation letter. I resign! Effective immediately!"
Tim Brockett motioned to remove Charlotte Mizzi as an officer secretary. Charlotte angrily protested and left the meeting at 11:11 p.m., followed immediately by Newman Brozovsky, and Gerald Dubiel, leaving a quorum of 6 directors. Tim’s motion was seconded by Jerry Ladewig. Vote: Yes—John, Tim, Jerry, Claudette, Andrea, total 5 yes. No---Aija-mara.
Aija-Mara Accatino left the meeting at 11:14 p.m. Tim then motioned Claudette be secretary. Seconded by Andrea. Vote: passed unanimously. Tim motioned to remove Newman as president, seconded by Jerry. Vote: passed unanimously. Tim motioned Andrea to become president, seconded by Jerry. Vote: passed unanimously.
These changes in Board Officers are now effective.
After these events, the Board voted on two other matters, both approved unanimously: (1) to postpone any future election until the court directs us, and (2) to establish a Dropbox account so the Board can access the latest landowner list and important GLA financials.
Sincerely,
Andrea

The transition process is underway. It is not expected to run smoothly.
The GLA Board remains sharply divided but the deadlock is broken. Only 9 members remain.
