Bob Sones of North Glastonbury is Remembered On October 28, 2021 Bob Sones passed away of natural causes at his home in North Glastonbury. Bob was well known and liked in Glastonbury. Many people may remember the pivotal role Bob played in getting over 3,000 feet of snow fence installed in the winter of 2017/2018. Bob worked alongside Jeff Riederer and many others that winter putting up new fences in critical places. Many sections of road that required expensive snow plowing before the fences, were almost snow-free after the fences were constructed. Bob was a hands on kind of person who liked to see projects get done. He will be sorely missed.
The Livingston Enterprise published a memorial article about Bob Sones here.
They noted: "A memorial service with Veteran’s Honors and spreading of Bob’s ashes will be held at the Yellowstone‘s Edge RV Park on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at Chico Hot Springs Convention Center at 3 p.m. In Bob’s honor, please wear your favorite Aloha shirt to send him on eternal patrol."
