Helena-based WorldMontana continues its push to bring refugees, especially Syrians, to the Helena area. Judging by a lengthy op-ed their chief pusher of this bad idea had in Helena's paper on Sunday, other Montana cities are at risk, too.

The immediate news is that they're having another meeting, this time to hear from the state's Refugee Coordinator, Ms. Quittenton, tomorrow evening (Thursday, January 21) in Helena.
Are you in the Helena area? If so, could you attend tomorrow night's meeting and report back to us? If so, please do so; details about the meeting were in today's Great Falls Tribune and are pasted below.
I've consulted with my friend Ann Corcoran in Maryland. She runs the Refugee Resettlement Watch blog and is one of the few most expert people in the whole country about the devastating impact on local communities of the refugee racket. (A few days ago, she posted a blog entry with a warning to Montanans, especially Missoulians.) link Ann and I agree that anyone from our side who attends tomorrow evening's WorldMontana meeting should do so just as an observer, making no waves, raising no objections, etc. At this point, we most need information on what WorldMontana is planning, what the State Refugee Coordinator has to say about her involvement, and so forth.
If you're outside the Helena area, you can make important contributions, too. That means first educating yourself on this vast subject -- for which Refugee Resttlement Watch is your best resource -- and then writing letters to your local newspaper(s) to educate your clueless fellow citizens and contacting state & local public officials to impress them with the unpopularity among Montana's citizens of this idea. (For example, the Missoula County Commissioners figure prominently in that blog entry linked above.)
For an example of what could go into a letter, here's one I had in the Casper, Wyoming Star-Tribune in March 2014, warning about a burgeoning refugee threat in Wyoming. If you like it, feel free to plagiarize wording from that letter, but of course you'd want what you write to fit the present circumstances in Montana or your area of Montana.
Best to all,
Paul Nachman

The public may attend.
The group met Dec. 17 at the church and discussed bringing refugees to Helena and the challenges and expected backlash.
