Body found in camper near Emigrant being investigated as a homicide, Sheriff's Office says KBZK reports: "On Monday, September 19, 2022, a body was found in a camper several miles southeast of Emigrant in Park County.
Park County Sheriff Brad Bichler said at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, his office responded to a report of a body discovered in a camper in the 1300 block of East River Road.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating this as a homicide. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the discovery are not determined.
The public is advised to contact the Sheriff’s Office with any information regarding the incident at 406-222-2050."

Local man found dead in camper; a suspect is in custody The Livingston Enterprise reports: "A local man was found dead in a camper this morning around 8:30 a.m., Park County Sheriff Brad Bichler said.
“We are investigation this as a homicide,” said Bichler. “It’s clear and present it was a homicide.”
Bichler said the victim was a “younger, white male living in an old camper” at the 1300 block of East River Road in Paradise Valley.
The sheriff would not release the name of the deceased man, but did confirm that he was “a local resident.”
The investigation is ongoing and “we do have some leads,” said Bichler.
Around 4 p.m. on Monday, the Park County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page that it taken a “suspect into custody.”
“Names are not being released at this time but they will be forthcoming,” read the post. “The investigation is still ongoing.”
The sheriff asked if anybody has information that might help the investigation to call the Park County’s Sheriff’s Office at (406) 220-2050."

Homicide suspect makes initial appearance The Livingston Enterprise reports: "A 20-year-old Pray man made an initial appearance in Park County Justice Court on Tuesday on a felony charge of deliberate homicide in connection with the death of another local man, Casey Jess Anderson, 32.
Kadin Hawkeye Lewis made his appearance via video from the Park County Detention Center before Park County Justice Court Judge Linda Cantin, who set bond at $1 million.
An attorney for Lewis was not present in court.
After reading the law and the punishment for felony deliberate homicide, Cantin asked Lewis: “Do you have any questions?”
“I’m just a little shaken right now and need a lawyer,” said Lewis.
Anderson allegedly died from gunshot wounds, according to the arrest report from the Park County Sheriff’s Office."

Man accused of killing person found in trailer near Emigrant pleads not guilty KBZK reports:
"Kadin Hawkeye Lewis pleaded not guilty to one count of deliberate homicide in Park County on Monday.
Lewis was charged with one count of deliberate homicide after a body was found in a camper several miles southeast of Emigrant in Park County on Monday, September 19, 2022.
Park County Sheriff Brad Bichler said at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, his office responded to a report of a body discovered in a camper in the 1300 block of East River Road.
Lewis' bail was set at $1 million and he's to avoid contact with the alleged victims of crime and family, avoid contact with witnesses and family members.
Lewis’ defense reportedly plans to negotiate the bond amount."
