Two GLA Directors Resign One for the Third Time Recently Glastonbury Landowners Association (GLA) members received a postcard explaining that two directors resigned; directors Neil Kremer and Sandra Schreyer. Kremer, who represented South Glastonbury, submitted his resignation on November 15 to be effective on December 15, 2022. Schreyer, who represented North Glastonbury, submitted her resignation on December 7, 2022, and was effective immediately.
Some considered Kremer to be an illegitimate board member after it was discovered that he had 3 houses on one parcel. That was a violation of GLA Governing Documents and classified him as "not in good standing" and thus unable to serve on the GLA Board. The GLA Board did not take any action in regard to the violation. Kremer resigned by his own choice as he had twice before. The August 13, 2007, GLA Minutes show that Kremer resigned and a replacement director was to be considered. The September 12, 2011, GLA Minutes note that Kremer submitted another resignation on August 29, 2011. The November 15, 2022 resignation is his third time quitting his duties as a board member.
The GLA will hold a special meeting on February 9, 2023, at 6 pm at Emigrant Hall to decide upon replacements. Both terms were for one year. Interested GLA members in good standing may apply for the appointments by sending an email to info@glamontana.org. The board will vote on candidates at the February 9 meeting.
