GLA Treasurer Mark Seaver Resigns...Again
On Thursday night Glastonbury Landowner's Association Treasurer Mark Seaver abruptly resigned. This is the second time Seaver has resigned as Treasurer. Seaver's unexpected resignation has thrown the GLA into chaos as the board moves closer to election season. Former Director Tim Brockett offered to take over as GLA Treasurer. In an email to the GLA Brockett stated:

RE: Treasurer's Position Open?
I understand that the GLA Board has lost its Treasurer; Mark Seaver. I have volunteered for the Treasurer's position before and would be willing to accept the task again. It is the most difficult GLA job but I am willing to accept that heavy burden so landowners and the board may be well served at least until the next annual election.
After serving four years on the GLA board and as Vice President I am intimately familiar with the financial statements, bill paying process, and collection of assessments. While I was on the board in 2021 and 2022 Claudette Dirkers was the Treasurer's Assistant. She did a tremendous job of collecting assessments, preparing deposits, tracking payments, and helping to collect past-due balances. I would like to have her assistance in fulfilling the responsibilities of Treasurer.
I understand that the Treasurer must be a director. If this board still holds to that belief then I ask that the least capable current director in South Glastonbury step down and I be appointed to fill the rest of their term.
I know I could serve the board and landowners well.
Best Regards,
Your humble servant,
Tim Brockett
