The storm has passed. 4 inches accumulated here on Sagittarius Skyway in High South at 6,318 feet above sea level.
The current temperature is 13 degrees above 0.
Lower elevations received more snow and colder overnight temperatures.
Cold air settles and it is common that the valley is colder than higher elevations in the winter.
Conditions and report for November 25th, 2015 at 8:30 AM
The temperature is 14 degrees and a light snow is falling.
Just 2 inches have accumulated.
The Winter weather advisory calls for more snow until Thursday. The winds should pick up to so combined with the crisp temperatures wind chill will be a problem. Bundle up!
I will be posting this snow report and future ones on the NEW Glastonbury Community Forum as well as emailing them to everyone on the growing list. You may access the new forum at:
glastonbury.freeforums.net/
The Glastonbury Community Forum is independent; it is NOT affiliated with the GLA Board or any community group. Like a newspaper it is designed to serve our entire community and with it's own independent voice and opinions. The Glastonbury Community Forum is interactive and requires no login or password. You may access it 24/7 and view postings or add your own. The Forum is in its infancy but to date offers:
An interactive Calendar of events, a board for Park County issues, a board for recreation including hunting, camping, hiking, etc.
A board to advertise for free your business, organization, group or vacation rental property.
The GLA portion has a board for each committee, for annual and monthly meetings and for Open Letters to the GLA Board.
Several sub-boards on the GLA portion contain PDF documents. These are copies of financial and other publicly distributed documents that the GLA has shared with landowners. The goal is to have a 10 year history of the most important GLA public communications assembled in one easy to use venue that is open to everyone for inspection and comments.
We expect to post GLA Annual, Board and Committee meeting agendas and a summary of those meetings so people who are unable to attend can participate.
Although the Forum is in it's infancy a handful of people have already signed on as members. Many more have viewed the site as guests. Several have already posted thoughtful comments, asked insightful questions and posed powerful arguments.
The cornerstone of a strong and thriving democracy is a free and vibrant press. The Glastonbury Community Forum intends to collect the facts, present them to the public, add their own interpretation and then let everyone freely discuss, comment and critique. Along the way we hope to inspire, enlighten and eventually help solve the problems we face as a community.
