Administrator's Note: Sally and Chuck Muto sent the following letter to the GLA Board. They gave us permission to reprint it here.
To all Board Members:
We are requesting that our property be withdrawn from the Glastonbury Landowners Association per the request below. We are also sending a paper copy to the G.L.A. Board in c/o President Charlotte Mizzi, copy below.
We have been advised the Board has already voted to deny request(s) for any landowner(s) desiring to enter into an agreement with G.L.A. for separation at the board meeting on April 11th.
Sending you this notice, after the vote, we wanted you to know our plans have not changed and will further execute them with advice from our attorney.
We were also told that very little discussion ensued or interest in reasons for independence. Obviously, there is a lack of interest from the Board. Of course, as has been the case in the past, our letter will go without answer or inquiry as to "why" and "what" are our concerns. The vote with little interest should be obvious as to "one" of the reasons for wanting separation. Lack of interest or concern for some landowners in this Association, which we find ourselves being part of, for expressing our concerns and advice.

Dear President Mizzi,
I am writing the G.L.A. board of directors to request that the Glastonbury Landowners Association agree to the withdrawal of our real property NG 27 from the Association. Section 1.04 of the Restated Declaration of Covenants for the Community of Glastonbury states, in relevant part:
"Property Withdrawn from Declaration. The Association shall have the right at its option and at any time in the future to withdraw any property from the covenants in this Declaration, by executing and recording an instrument in writing describing any property owned by the Association to be withdrawn, or by executing and recording a written agreement between the Association and the owner(s) describing the property to be withdrawn from the covenants."
We desire to enter into an agreement with the Association to withdraw our property from the Association as referenced above. We desire to be relieved of any further obligations or restrictions, save the existing easements or rights of way in effect at the time of the agreement.
Please advise us as to your position on this request within 30 days, or sooner. If the Association is agreeable to entering into an agreement with us, we will have our attorney draft the agreement in accordance with the covenants, sparing the Association any legal expense.
If, on the other hand, the Association does not agree we will advise our attorney to proceed with legal recourse. However, we hope to resolve this issue without resorting to legal action.
Regards,
Charles and Sally Muto North Glastonbury 27
