Privacy My A**
Landowner Sally Muto requested that The Forum post her open letter to the GLA Board regarding their demand to have official meeting minutes removed from public view.
Dear Board Members,
Please tell me who's bright idea to have meeting minutes removed from the forum? You've got to be kidding? Seriously? Another idea that is a disservice to all landowners!!! Do you people sit up at night thinking up this crazy stuff?
And don't say it a "privacy issue." And don't use the issue of you need "permission" to put someone's name out in the "world wide web" that would be too disingenuous for words!! Your already out there.
The GLA put my husband's and my name out there in the World Wide Web without asking our permission! In a court document no less!! I know it wasn't in a document that was produced by the GLA, but the GLA put that court document on the GLA website so it's out there. Where was your concern for us?
There should be nothing in those minutes that can't be shared among landowners. GLA has lost the privacy issue a long long time ago. There have been NON-landowners attending our board meetings, annual meetings, committee meetings and they had the nerve to show up at the first landowner meeting! Did any of you board members ask them to leave?? NO. They have seen financials of our corporation, they've seen landowners names and the amounts they owe in back assessments!
WHERE IS YOUR SO CALLED OUTRAGE FOR YOUR LACK OF PRIVACY ON OUR BEHALF??? That ship sailed a long time ago. So stop be hypercritical and leave the forum alone. It reaches a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't have the information about the goings on at committee meetings or board meetings they can not attend. It brings the community together in so many ways and you people should be doing the same thing. In all my years I've never seen such contempt for the people a board is called to serve. In the real world you'd be thrown out on your collective ears!!
You people need to grow up and act like responsible board members and start being more transparent with the people who elected you. NOTHING in any of the minutes should be of such import that anyone would think twice about reading.
When I start seeing you being CONCERNED about people's privacy and throw out non-landowners from meetings will I think your not hypocrites.
