The Forum is perplexed at the opposition to some types of business activity in Paradise Valley. Mines can create good jobs with benefits. Gravel pits and asphalt mixing equipment are essential for safe roads. Our standard of living depends upon a solid economy. We believe it is possible and necessary for nature and industry to coexist. The challenge is to find a middle ground where the greatest benefits for the greatest number of people rests. That requires hard work, cooperation and a realization that everyone can benefit from well thought out decisions. The "us vs. them" attitude creates divides and pits neighbor against neighbor.
