Mystery Tulips Appear in a North Glastonbury Home Gigantic tulips were recently spotted in a home in North Glastonbury. The recipient of this gift was told that they were grown in High South this spring in outdoor raised beds. She told the Forum that "these gorgeous flowers cannot be normal. I have never seen tulips this large and open up like these.". The tulip blooms do appear unusually large and the colors excessively rich. We measured them at 3 to 4 inches in height and as much across when fully open. The daffodils looked closer to normal but were on the big side especially for Montana. We asked several landowners if it was possible to grow such beautiful flowers in our community given the rigors of the environment. One replied "that Glastonbury was a special and spiritual place where anything is possible". She continued by telling us that "a spiritual dome covers both North and South Glastonbury". Others seem to doubt that our climate and soil could produce such beautiful blooms. What do you think? Did these flowers really grow in Glastonbury? Post your thoughts below.
