This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Montana...south central Montana...southeast Montana and north
central Wyoming.
* WHAT...A prolonged period of snowfall with a return to colder
temperatures.
* WHERE...Southern Montana and northern Wyoming.
* WHEN...Friday night through the weekend, into early next week.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A surge of arctic air will arrive Friday
night and bring colder temperatures this weekend. Along with the
cold, periods of accumulating snow is likely, which could cause
travel concerns. Snow could be heavy, causing poor visibility and
snow packed roads, over a prolonged period of time.
* ADDITIONAL HAZARD CONCERNS...Current indications are that several
periods of snow is likely from Friday night through early next
week, which could lead to significant snow accumulations. Please
monitor your local forecast closely, as there is still some
uncertainty on timing and location of the heaviest snowfall.
