Montana winter snow pack continues to build. Our winter started early with snow in October and has yet to end. They days are longer and the sun is brighter but the snow continues to fall. In High South Glastonbury we received 8 inches over the past week and more is due on Thursday. Landowners are still plowing their driveways and shoveling their walks.
Winter snow pack is 140% above normal in Park County. It is too early to tell if flooding will be a problem this spring. It all depends on how quickly the mountain snow melts and if that is accompanied with heavy rain.
The Great Falls Tribune has an interesting article regarding Montana snow pack depths and new records being set. Read the story here.
