Cows On the Run in High South Glastonbury
About a dozen cows escaped from neighboring Storey Ranch last week and are roaming the roads in High South. All are black and thus difficult to see at night so driver caution is recommended. Cows tend to wander when the weather turns cool and every year it seems they visit High South Glastonbury. They are big and tend to wander along the roadside. They can easily panic and severally damage your car if they run into you or vice versa. A full grown cow weighs over 1,000 pounds. Cows often scratch themselves by rubbing against structures which can result in damage to houses and outbuildings. They make for tasty steaks and burgers so hopefully they will return home soon.
