Ronald Price for North Glastonbury Director Education: BS in Education, Masters work in Political Science
I was head teacher in Ouzinkie, Alaska. I had teaching experience, grades 1-12, in Bethel, Alaska; Indiana; Maui; Washington state; and Montana. I have operated a cleaning business since 1972. I was in the Army military medical service for ten years from 1962 to 1971.
I was Second Lieutenant commanding the 602nd Ambulance Company and executive officer of the 171st Infantry Brigade, a 400-bed hospital in Bearcat, Vietnam. In 1967, I was Captain and First Field Service Medical Liaison Officer during the Tet Offensive. I was the commander of the 21st Evacuation Hospital, Fort Hood, Texas with the rank of Major.
For setting up and helping to run a hospital in Vietnam under extraordinary conditions I received the Bronze Star Medal with a Presidential Commendation. During my time in Vietnam, I earned the Vietnam Service Medal with three stars.
I am seeking a position on the GLA Board to serve the community with my history of military and civilian experience and my willingness to listen to the concerns of the community and I am interested in being of service in any way I can.
