Common Land Access Denied - Meeting Nov. 2nd, 2018 All Glastonbury landowners are encouraged to attend the next Glastonbury Land Owners Meeting where the easement road off of Hercules Road, which follows Golmeyer Creek will be discussed. This is on Kathleen Ramp's property just past Spectec.
Kathleen Ramp recently had a brand new driveway built courtesy of all GLA landowners and their assessment funds in the spring of 2018. The driveway is just before the access road and stretches for 250 feet into her private property. The gate also belongs to Ramp and for years has illegally blocked full access to Glastonbury Common land. In the Forum's opinion it should never have been installed and should be torn down. However as the recipient of favored treatment by past and current GLA Boards it is unlikely that Ramp's gate will be removed. Ramp is an old-timer, bought the property from CUT and has five votes. She is often bold in her requests for favors from the GLA Board.
The combination has been changed to the GATE so that hikers, firewood collectors, and hunters cannot open the gate and drive into common land, park and then access National Forest Land.
GLA Board of Directors Mtg When: Fri, November 2, 7pm – 10pm Where: Emigrant Hall
