High South Snow Report Nov. 10, 2018 11.27 AM Four inches of fresh powder snow this morning in High South Glastonbury. Two inches fell yesterday. Driving to the Post Office and Emigrant Hall for voting at the Annual Meeting was difficult. Sagittarius Skyway, Sagittarius Place, part of Polaris, all of Scorpio, all of Libra and Hercules road from Spectec up have not been plowed in two days. On Sagittarius Skyway the snow is 6 to 8 inches deep; just twin tire tracks mark the roadway.
Hercules past SpecTec has just one lane plowed in a haphazard manner. Hercules is quite slippery with many icy spots lurking beneath the freshly packed snow.
Temperatures are expected to climb above freezing today and the packed snow will melt. Tonight it will turn to ice unless it is properly plowed beforehand.
Please drive safely and watch out for hidden ice patches.
Readers are encouraged to leave comments and your own snow and road report below.
