High South Glastonbury Snow Report Nov. 17, 2018 11:42 AM Currently it is 30 degrees in High South Glastonbury. Four inches of powder snow fell yesterday and last night. Sagittarius Skyway and Upper Hercules were slippery and not plowed as of 11 AM this morning. One lane going downhill was erratically plowed on Hercules from Polaris to Dry Creek Road. The uphill lane and all side roads branching from Hercules were not plowed. Two inches of snow accumulated in the valley. Route 89 was icy from packed snow but was beginning to melt by 10 AM. Upper Hercules through the canyon has packed snow from last week's storm that turned to ice when the weather warmed on Wednesday and Thursday. Thus the fresh snow is quite slippery. No roads in High South have received any sanding.
The daytime temperatures are slated to rise above freezing for next week. Some of the freshly fallen snow will melt. Higher elevation snow packed roads will form large ice patches if the snow is not quickly plowed.
Please drive safely and carefully. Winter has only just begun.
