'Beloved' wolf killed just outside Yellowstone Yellowstone animal watchers are mourning the death of a "beloved" wolf. Yellowstone wolves are starting to lose their natural fear of humans and thus make for easy targets during hunting season. Ironically the very people who watch, photograph and even name various Yellowstone wolves are causing the wolves to lose their fear of humans. Their have been instances of people feeding wolves which further harms the animals by breeding dependency to humans. The watchers do not see themselves as the problem. Instead they want to ban hunting of wolves on private and public land just outside the park.
