Is There A Caterpillar Grader/Plow/Roller in our future?
The Forum recently spoke with GLA Director Kevin Newby concerning the best equipment choices for maintaining and plowing our 18.4 mile network of private roads. On a recent business road trip Kevin passed through Swan Valley, Idaho and discovered the perfect machine for our needs; a Caterpillar 160M All Wheel Drive grader with two snow plows and a gravel roller. Kevin states the the GLA should collect the past due assessments and put the money aside to purchase a machine like this for our community. Past due assessments at the beginning of 2016 were over $250,000.00. Currently just 71% of landowners are up to date with their assessments; 29% are behind or have stopped paying.
