GLA Public Board Meeting on May 10, 2021 Landowners Are Invited to Attend
At the urging of Claudette Dirkers, Director Mizzi has scheduled a Glastonbury Landowner's Association (GLA) Board meeting at 7 Point Ranch for May 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM. 7 Point Ranch is located at 2894 US Highway 89 South in Emigrant, Montana. Click here for a map and directions.
This will be the first in person GLA Board meeting since late 2020. Normally board meetings are held once a month and open to all landowners. The GLA has come under increasing criticism for not conducting regular meetings. The GLA has violated multiple state laws and their own Governing Documents starting with "postponing" the 2020 Annual Election indefinitely. Board vacancies have not been filled, minutes have not been properly edited and thus remain unapproved, the snow plowing contract was illegally altered after the Board approved it, financial statements have not been physically mailed to all members and an approved 2021 budget still has not been mailed to landowners.
One director, Ed Dobrowski, resigned effective at the end of 2020 but he is still allowed to vote with the board. Term Limits as approved by the landowners eliminated two more directors from their positions of power in December of 2020. They, Project Review Chairman Gerald Dubiel and GLA President Newman Brozovsky still insist they are directors as they cling to power. Newman Brozovsky is expected to preside over the May 10th Board meeting. Gerald Dubiel will advise the Board on several projects that his committee approved at his request that appear to violate GLA Governing Documents and previous GLA Board directives.

WE NEED TO RESUME THE ELECTION ANYTHING LESS IS NOT SERVICING US
i sent this to the directors brockett,drikers,sedlak and mcalister
if the other side refuses to move forward with the election we can use this against them
what is the major purpose of this up coming meeting?
to give gerald a platform to speak
to allow them to say that they have not stopped the meetings
we need to finish the election to get this board moving forward
getting elected is not my first priority
getting this election done is

i urge everyone to withhold paying their community fee until we get more accountability from the board.
we need to resume the election, let the chips fall where they may.
the other side is worried that they don't have enough votes to win the election so they sabotaged it.
who is the glc group? it is a phoney, bogus group that has not the guts to say who they are.
i suspect that they are the same individuals who are holding up the election an or not bothering to vote on motions to continue the election.
look it up in the forum, you can see who they are.

May 10 GLA Board Meeting Abruptly Cancelled
No new date set Just one hour before the much anticipated May 10 GLA Board meeting was to commence, it was abruptly cancelled. The May meeting was the first GLA Board meeting since January. Several Project Review applications were on the draft agenda along with the appointment of a new Road Chair. Over 6 months of meeting minutes were up for approval as well. The backlog of work was daunting and the meeting was sorely needed according to several directors we spoke with. May is the best time to grade roads but without a Road Committee Chair that work will be postponed.
At 5:55 GLA Board Secretary sent an email to the GLA Board stating "Today I had phone calls from landowners regarding tonight’s meeting, that they did not know about a board meeting and could not find it on the website." Mizzi then rambled on about a Bylaw that did not pertain to regular board meetings and used it as justification for cancelling the meeting.
No date has been set for another regular board meeting. In the past the GLA held open board meetings once a month. |
