Montana Secretary of State Moves to Dissolve the GLA
GLA Prohibited from conducting business for now.
On December 1st, 2022 the Montana Secretary of State took the first step to dissolving the Glastonbury Landowners Association. In a matter unrelated to the current lawsuit to dissolve the GLA, the Secretary of State reminded the GLA that they have yet to file an accurate 2022 Financial Report and pay associated fees. Former Director Charlotte Mizzi filed a 2022 report that contained false information. She listed herself as GLA Secretary and Newman Brozovsky as President. A majority vote of the GLA Board previously fired both. In August 2021 Claudette Dirkers was elected as Secretary and Andrea Sedlak as President. Then the court put the issue of who was an officer on hold while it appointed John McAlister as President.
The report was invalidated by the Secretary of State and the GLA was told to file a corrected copy.
On December 1st, 2022 the Secretary of State wrote:
As President and sole remaining corporate officer, John McAlister chose not to refile the required report. McAlister is also a litigant in the current lawsuit that is seeking to dissolve or split the current GLA. Before leaving office McAlister notified the new President Dennis Riley and the new Treasurer, Mark Seaver of the need to file the 2022 report. Both Riley and Seaver are also litigants in the current lawsuit seeking to dissolve or split the GLA.
